DITWA CYCLONE - AFTER EFFECTS

Ditwa-Cyclone - The cyclone, among the most intense and destructive in Sri Lanka's recent history. severely affected close to 2 million people and 500,000 families across all 25 districts, disrupting livelihoods, essential services, and the broader economy.

This photography documentary series is about the life of Malayaha (upcountry) people and their life after the recent Cyclone.

But the reason I am documenting specially the malayaha(upcountry) people is because their life was already a Pity , a trauma , a struggle , a survival and I have been telling their wage work stories and life survival for long time.

Now after this nature's disaster so many of them have lost their lives , relatives , children , families , houses.

And it has been 5 Months since the Ditwa effected the country yet there are so many houses are still in the same condition , so many dead bodies haven't been found and most hill village people are living in camps.
